The M/V Golden Alaska is a 305 ft., 3706 gross ton processing vessel that operates in the Bering Sea, along the Aleutian Chain and the North Pacific Ocean.

Modutech’s berthing tug passed the Navy’s inspection based on the 84 dB limit with the use of Mascoat’s Db acoustic damping coating and Marine insulation coating only.

Application of ceramic insulation coating at 80 mils (2 mm) thickness was for heat retention of the tank’s 180F heavy oil contents together with personnel protection.

This 177’ refinery process tower was coated with 80 mils (2 mm) of ceramic insulation coating for heat retention and personnel protection on its 220 Fahrenheit surface temperature.

Aluminum shipping container was fabricated by Stabbert Maritime for use as deck-loaded living quarters. The insulation specification was based on use of 40 mils (1 mm) of ceramic insulation coating and 2” of fiberglass board with a finish panel covering allows deployment in extreme hot and cold climates around the world.

Industrial applications include: heavy oil storage tanks, LPG hemispheric tanks, process towers, heat exchangers, steam lines, product lines, butane lines, ductwork, boilers, steam drums, and many more. Primary benefits are prevention of corrosion under insulation (CUI) and visual inspection of all surfaces. A temperature range of 40F/4C to 400F/204C is supported.
